What Should I Wear?

We want you to feel comfortable when you visit Shawnee Church of the Nazarene. You will see people wearing a variety of clothing from a suit and tie to jeans and a t-shirt so dress in the clothes in which you are most comfortable.

Should I Keep My Children with Me During the Service?

As a visitor, it is up to you if you feel comfortable introducing your child into a new setting. Wiggles from children in the sanctuary are welcome here! 

Nursery is available for infants up to 24 months. Every Sunday our preschool aged children are dismissed part way through the service to continue in worship in The Cul-de-Sac (a rotational worship time full of Bible Stories, hands on activities, large motor play, and snacks). 

A greeter can assist you in finding the check-in desk for your precious little ones. Children Kindergarten through the 6th grade are dismissed part way through the service to continue worship in The Neighborhood.  

Our loving Neighborhood staff will be sure to help your child feel welcome in a new environment. Once a month we enjoy Family Worship, which is when elementary children remain in the sanctuary to worship alongside their family. We believe there is value in creating space where folks of all ages learn together!

What Should I Expect?

During the service feel free to sit wherever you are comfortable.Tithes and offerings are received during each service to support the work of the church and mission projects. We do not ask that visitors contribute. This offering is for those who regularly attend to support our church.

We partake in communion each week. You do not need to be a member to participate. The entire congregation is given instructions on how to receive communion during the service. Please feel free to receive communion with us at your own comfort level.
